Disposition (Total WC, 725 Words including primer)
( As a brief primer, Roman is from a tabletop game called Monster of the Week, where a group of people of varying talents and backgrounds get together to fight, you guessed it, their own monsters of the week. Roman is currently The Professional, an agent that works with H.A.U.N.T. (Hunter Association of Unlimited Natural Talent) and studied much of his life to become part of it. This agency prides itself on both protecting the earthly realm from otherworldly threats as well as preserving the rights and territories of other magical creatures who make their home on the earthly plane. )
Selfless | Due to the nature of his role as The Professional, Roman oftentimes finds himself in the field with those less-experienced in fighting said monsters and therefore he will put himself directly in the line of fire to buy everyone time to either prepare for a counter attack or run the hell away. Roman would rather see himself hurt than those around him and can be found on the frontlines if need be, ready to throw himself into the fray. While he prides himself on his good-looks and charm as the honeypot portion of the H.A.U.N.T. outfit, he's not afraid to get a black eye or a scar for the sake of protecting those who cannot protect themselves. Whoever he is protecting will always come first.
Impulsive | Following up, many times, Roman has been the first to fire a distraction shot or to rush into the direct line of an attack in order to gather his opponents attention, even if it means being backhanded or injured by a sudden attack. He believes that action is often times the first course to solving a mystery and if it means he has to throw himself headfirst into a problem, then so be it. Of course, this doesn't just apply to combat or missions. Roman is impulsive in life, always determined to go for what he wants, sometimes without thinking of repercussions. He's a slave to his emotions and sometimes his emotions demand he go out and find a quick lay on Tindr to burn off stress/energy or to pick up a quick job for H.A.U.N.T. to run off his adrenaline. Sometimes it serves him, but most times it ends in bumps, bruises, and dissatisfaction. He's the type that believes his impulsiveness will satisfy a long-held emptiness inside of him, when in truth it's just denial and it definitely does not serve him.
Outgoing | Part of Roman's job is networking and getting to know those around him while also forming bonds of trust. Thankfully, Roman is an incredible extrovert with a people battery that doesn't seem to know when to quit. Often, his missions out in the field require that he go undercover, his current one settling him into a position at Underhill University as their fencing team's coach, which means he's made close friendships with all of his students as well as the faculty around him. Even his co-workers are pretty endeared to him (barring Carmine Figaro, but that's a whole other bag of cats.)
Repressed | Conceal don't feel is the name of the game. Roman is a honeypot in terms of his work at his agency, H.A.U.N.T. which means that many times he cannot afford to become attached to his marks. Roman usually doesn't have trouble with this, though his repression doesn't just come into play with his targets, he also tends to repress his own deep emotions of inferiority, old wounds from his days at the Academy while training for H.A.U.N.T. beneath a façade of playful overconfidence.
Vain | Roman thinks he's hot shit in all sorts of ways. From his good looks to his skill with a rifle to his witty repartee in each report he sends to the higher ups, Roman believes that he is one of the best operatives in H.A.U.N.T. and isn't afraid to say it, even if it lands him in trouble with his boss, Carmine Figaro. Of course, just because he's the face of his monster-fighting group doesn't mean that his quips always land. Sometimes people simply can't be charmed or you aren't their type (and he's fine with that, but know that to Roman they are wrong and he is A Catch.) If he had to be a meme, he'd probably be this:

Suitability (Total WC, 270 Words): Roman Reed is a creature who works about as hard as he plays. He doesn't have reservations when it comes to physical affection and might be what one would call a hedonist through and through. He likely wouldn't have issue with the concept of Synchrony and would take it more on the chin as an "oh is that all?" sort of deal. He's the type to do what it takes to survive so long as it is not at the cost of the lives of others. TL;DR, In terms of intimacy, Roman has no hang ups, whether it's holding hands or Something Else, he'd likely do it.
As far as physical changes would go, that would... be new and probably freakish and he would have his own, personal freak out because WWJBD (what would James Bond do) except drink his fears away and embrace a brand new world while trying to figure out just what makes it tick (and perhaps trying to solve himself a way home.)
Roman, by training, is a secret agent and is therefore well-equipped to handle strange happenings that are thrown at him on the fly. With a canonical realm of the Fae that he's entered before, he's aware of the concept of other beings in other worlds living their lives. He'd likely try to endear himself a bit to the other gem bound, native gems, and would want to make some friends and close contacts with the natives especially. He'd perhaps see what's on the other side of the coin and who the government-type officials happen to be giving the steppy under their boots.
Condition upon arrival: Mad, beat up, dragged around by a cursed tree so he's a little bruised and battered, but no broken bones or anything major.
Abilities:
Immunity to Fire | Due to Roman's supernatural bond to Carmine (a witch with a great affinity for fire), he has been given the ability to withstand flame and heat in all forms. Feel free to nerf this due to the elemental nature of the game! Just let me know if you want to.
Sharpshooter | from his training with H.A.U.N.T. Roman is able to wield a number of rifles from pistols to long-range to his favored sniper rifles.
Knife-fighting | for close range from his training with H.A.U.N.T. and his work out in the field
Tactical genius | due to his impulsiveness, this ability seldom shines, but should be noted that he's capable of thinking quickly on his feet and working while in the midst of a mess, able to come up with plans on the fly to help him and his team of ragtag misfits. Roman is, after all, a seasoned agent with many scenarios tucked under his belt. When he does sit down and think, it's astonishing how clever he can be when it comes to creative cohesive plans.
Inventory:
His bag of fencing gear that is always with him, with the following shoved inside:
- A shotgun named "The Boyfriend Experience" (up close and personal)
- A collapsible sniper rifle named "Roxanne" (she's got a red light)
- Spare ammunition for both
- Covered by a sweatshirt emblazoned with Underhill University Fencing
On his physical person:
- A bone-handled knife inlaid with pearl and made of Damascus steel, sheathed inside his tall boot
- His wallet
- His phone, which is probably just rendered to a glorified MP3 player at this point ig?
- His clothes on his back
Gembond: Sapphire
Gem Location: Embedded in a V-shape in the hollow of his throat.
